The Importance of Faith in the Old Testament

Faith is godly when we set our confidence in God's goodness even when we can't see or know what the future holds. Paul calls Timothy to be godly to set an example of faith by believing God's promises and following his commands. The Greek word here for purity suggests sexual purity, but it also reflects human stretch of sexuality that reflects how we are made in the image of God.
