Putin is trying to distract the russian populace from the state of their economy and all the corruption that's taking place. He can put ten people in jail but if a million people march on red square, he's finished. The one thing that's going really well for him is that he doesn't have to worry about being overthrown in russia. And so as we're all sitting here thinking, ot, he must be really upset, and the oligarchs are upset,. Well, nol he's pretty happy right now, because at least he knows he's not going to be overgrown.
