The Implications of Nasal Breathing for Endurance Exercise

There are implications for this when it comes to endurance exercise. In terms of anaerobic performance like sprints or weightlifting, there doesn't seem to be any benefit to nasal breathing during the exercise. There's good evidence that nasal breathing improves cognitive function and decreases fear and stress reactivity independent of any sort of controlled breathing exercises.
