Jeremy Segal of Wisdom Tree described this as the new Copernican view of the world. The index essentially guarantee the dollar value index, essentially guarantees you the return that all investors share. And if there are these smart guys over there, there are dumb guy over there, smart and dumb, both of them. So net net, when you're buying smart data, you're really buying a distribution of really smart guys, really average guys, really dumb guys.
