The Freemasons and Weishelpt
Weishelpt wanted to create a republic where good ultimately won over the need for secular devotion and promote equality. He sought out members in his students, young malleable men who were educated and fairly well off. Together they decided to create their own secret order based off of the Freemason system but one where they could further push their anti-clerical and anti-jesuit agenda.
