Can You Make Clarophonic for Mids, Lomids and Subs?

Can you make clarophonic for mids, lomids and subs? The more you mess with base, usually the worse it sounds. Can you ever get the same thump as hardware drum machines staying within the box without sounding punchy behind a pane of glass? If you can, i haven't quite heard it. There's this largess to it, this magical quality that not many people these days get to experience. M ju, the real thing man, always an advocate of the real thing. I disagree. Tell me more.
