The Last Emperor of the Ming Dynasty

There were a lot of infamous eunuchs in Chinese history but Wei Zhongxian usually tops any list as far as the worst of the worst goes. He owed his position to Madam Ka, Ka Sheer who was the emperor's Nanny and no dummy to boot. The dynasty by 1627 was beyond repair. There was no way it was ever gonna recover. It wasn't that the Ming institutions were poor or weak. They didn't have any fancy banking back in the 17th century that allowed governments to create wealth out of nothing.
