The Importance of Being Challenged

As co-founder and president of the FDA-approved emergency-contraception brand Julie, Amanda E/J Morrison is working to improve the women’s health landscape. The company’s friendly and relatable social media–forward approach brings scientifically backed education and products to the next generation. Prior to founding Julie, Morrison spent five years as COO and co-founder of Mented Cosmetics, an inclusive makeup brand that puts women of color at the forefront of the beauty industry, and before making her foray into entrepreneurship, she worked at Goldman Sachs and Time Inc and attended Harvard Business School. Morrison has pivoted her career time and again, but the one thing that's remained constant is her desire to solve problems and enact change.
