Is There a Difference Between Inpatients and Hospitalists?
Most of the folks that I know are working in an academic setting, partly because there are small numbers and the you know, the rest of the world doesn't often know what to do with us. In the inpatient setting, primarily what folks do is either a med psych unit or they work as a hospitalist. They would be on a medical floor, primarily, but their colleagues would just give them right, the psychiatric patients, right? How about academic versus private versus public? You're right. Absolutely.
