The Quahades and the Comanches
Of the 4,000 Comanche still existence in 1867 3000 moved to the reservation 1000 refused. The Indian office that managed reservations was insanely corrupt. Employees skimmed off supplies meant for the Comanches which led to food shortages and poor supplies. Native Americans started leaving the reservation to join the Quahades and raids restarted. 31 million buffalo were killed over 13 years between 1868 and 1881.
