Ursula Lleguin, a Woman Author?
Ursula Lleguin is very important in the emergence of a kind of much more overtly feminist science fiction. She's also quite early on, I mean, the understanding of ecology and the damage being done to the fragile ecologies of the earth was beginning to emerge in the 1960s. Her focus is not on hard technology necessarily, but on these ideas of encounter, I think. So she's crucial.
