In behavior economics, the use of biology or biological references is still relatively rare. There's a general issue that interdicuprnary research is always challenging. Some people just don't make the effort to read and understand what other scientists are doing in different fields. So i think human be is vewed as rational when human beings make decisions so as to maximize their utility. But there are exceptions, and behavior economists have made the important contribution of showing exception by large.
