i consider myself a private money match maker. I have capital partners that i and their money out to borrowers who are active investors. And while underwriting has changed significantly in the last couple of years, we were able to navigate that well with some of our investors. But we might have put a larger equity buffer in place, especially when cobid hit. That wasn't really a standard requirement for refinancing prior.

For average investors, private money lending has been mentally squared away as “something mega-wealthy people do.” Most investors will write off lending money because they think they lack the experience or funds to do a successful deal.
