Populism Is a Defamation of Libertarian Principles
Populism frames things in terms of a very generalized us and tem they belong to a more privileged social or economic class that profits at our expense. The problem with vilifying the socially and economically successful is it vilifies policies that enable social and economic success. Ron paul, whom i had a hunch charley would try to tell you as a populist, walked this line well. He used grass roots mobilization without treating the blue collar as purer than the white collar. He played to and them on the basis of ideas, not class or coast. That's how libertarianism wins. Normalize liberty.
