The Cyclic Theory of Generations

You point out that the trends that we're seeing, they don't seem to be cyclical. And therefore, we shouldn't expect generations to go back and forth between these different characteristics. So I think that cyclical theory of generations might have worked for a while, but it started to break down with Gen X. The wheels really came off with millennials, because by that cyclical Theory, millennials are supposed to be similar to the greatest generation who fought World War II.
