Service design is often seen as strategy, but it can also be a way of looking at an issue. A lot of times organizations will come to us and they are familiar with the artifacts that come out of service design. It's similar to a simpler process of like somebody coming to you wanting a web sigt red design,. But they're not realizing that you really need to have your brand in place so that somebody could design that web site for you.
