What Does a Typical Outcome Look Like?

In the ideal world, if I fixed a hernia on you or I took your gallbladder out, let's say, we would have our preoperative visit. And then a couple of weeks, two or three weeks after that, you come back to see me for a postoperative visit. That would kind of be their episode of care. For people on whom I'm doing bigger operations, colon resections, pancreas resections, stomach resections, again, it may only be one preoperative visit followed by the surgery and subsequent hospitalization. But then I'm going to have a series of usually two or three or four postoperative visits, depending on that person's progress
