The Aramaic Meaning of Holliacal Rising

Holliacal rising is a term used by the ancients to describe what stars were rising in the east before it came light at dawn. To us, that just means there's the eastern horizon, and we saw the star rising. In Aramaic, however, holliacal rose meant something very different: It was close to the sun. The gospels were written in Aramaic prior to being translated to Greek or Latin.
