Carolingian Women and the Carolingians
After both fredegan and brunheld's death, its surprisingly, the person who first takes action against them isfredegan's son. And so he erases the memory of his own mother and his aunt by literally just taking them out of historical records. So he creates a gap its s as if they never existed or issued any tolls or taxes. We see later on, there are a lot of carolingian women who try to seize power and try to rule as regents. They're clearly following in brunhild and fradegan's footsteps.
