Is Your Manuscript Good to Work With? Um, It's a Combination of a Whole Range of Things

Jenny has asked me to tell you about my work in progress, which is set in an artist's residency. I want to use some of the happenings and some characteristics of other artists who were there too. The story will be fiction and I will invent characters to deliver it. However, I am concerned about the possibility of upsetting my fellow artists in residence or municipal council members when my characters act as they need to in order to create tension and move the story forward.
