A lot of asset management is in secular decline relative to quantitative strategies and passive strategies. So it's a lot harder than if you're in an industry which is in secular advance, as I was when I got into it. You want to do what your job is with the with alacrity and sense of urgency. And then other things that are probably not terribly unusual, like having a good positive attitude all the time.
