Is This a Capped Market?
S&P at 17 times earnings is not on the surface a reason to own or buy this market. Microsoft and Apple are way too expensive, but you can get those two out of the index and you're more like 15. There are 200 stocks in the S&P below 5 to 15 times this year's earnings. The equal weight is around 14 times. A year ago we were at 21; here we are at 17ish with some downside to earnings.
