We disappeared for a few months, and the reason is simple: life got real. A new baby changed our pace, our sleep, and our priorities, and we had to rebuild our rhythm from the ground up. Now we’re back for season four with a candid catch up on postpartum life, getting back to the gym, and why “slow” seasons are not wasted seasons when you look at your family in years instead of weeks.
We also share what’s ahead for us as a traveling family. We’re leaving the Dominican Republic for four to five months, with a few countries set in stone and the rest guided by waves, weather, and flow. Estonia, Spain, El Salvador, and maybe more are on the map, and surfing is a major focus, especially getting the kids into different oceans and conditions. Alongside the travel talk, we dig into unschooling, homeschooling, and experiential learning, including how we create simple structure at home and why learning still happens even when life feels quiet.
Then we get into the hardest shift: Jessyl stepping away from social media. After receiving vicious comments during grief, we talk about mental health boundaries, digital detox, and the honest question behind every platform: what is my purpose here. On the work side, we cover finishing a master’s degree in transformational leadership, mentoring for TEDx, public speaking coaching, a Mindvalley stage, a book in progress, and a men’s retreat for high performing men who want identity beyond the job.
If you’re navigating parenting seasons, rebuilding routines, or reconsidering your relationship with social media, this conversation will feel like a deep exhale. Subscribe for the next drop, share this with a friend who needs a reset, and leave a review so more families can find us.
