There has been very little, gilding the lily is the wrong term, but sugar coating of the errors. But I think despite them, on balance, yes, it was worth it. It wasn't so much a technique or a plan that was translated from one to the other. The force commanders were obsessed with secrecy. They talk about it as one of them said they had no idea what they were doing. It was madness.
