What Do We Know About the Eastern Slavic World?
The eastern slavic world was settled some time in the sixth century by a group of peoples that we refer to as slavs. And they settled in the area north of the carpathian mountains, and from there they spread to central europe. So these were the slavs composed of tribal units. Each one of these tribes probably spoke slightly different versions of the lang of the common slabic language. The russians, ukranians and belrusin languages also belonged to the east slavic group.
