Jake, prosecutor Creighton Waters after nearly six weeks of this trial wrapped it up by painting Alec Murdoch as a privileged man from a prominent family who they characterize as a thief and a liar. On behalf of the state of South Carolina, I ask you to return a verdict of guilty against the defendant Richard Alexander Murdoch for the murder of his wife Maggie and his son Paul. And for his possession of firearms during the commission of those malicious offenses.
