I wonder if you feel as many do now that the immortality about to be conferred upon us, the physical and not literary immortality, is doomed because of species immaturity. I have been reading a lot of Markusa again lately. He invented the term One-Dimensionality, meaning the inside world is no different from the outer world. It's the same as consumerist propaganda. The other thing that I think of in response to your suggestion and question is that I often think of what Alfred North Whitehead said: "It is the business of the future to be dangerous"
