William the third was asthmatic, and they didn't like the unclean air of london. They loved hampton court when they visited it - but it was entirely tudor. And they thought, we'rejust going to pull this down and build a new palace. Er, now thank goodness they ran out of money halfway through. But yer, as a tudor historian, i can't condone that sort of behavior.
