The Brazilian Supreme Court Strikes Down the Amazon Bill
This bill is really damaging for Brazil's estimated 1 million indigenous population. It limits the land that they can claim as ancestral lands and turn into formal reservations. There are about 730 indigenous territories, 300 of which were mapped out years ago. They want to protect them from large scale agriculture and illegal wildcat gold mining.
