Lao or me lao is like a rice crispy or sesame's crispy. The how they make it is that with taro powder and rice powder, you mix it together with water into a dough. And once the dough is fermented, you can't do small pieces deep fryer first before coating them in sugar syrup. One particular Lunar New Year snack that I want to mention today is my lao or me Lao.
