We can choose how to respond to the emotional intensity that we're feeling. We need to get out of our heads, because so much is going on in their right we're likely ruminating. So for example, i can say, ok, i feel like my stomach is in knots and there's a puppy bouncing around in it. Then what i do is i focus on that feeling of my stomach being in knots and that puppy bouncingaround in it, and i really allow myself to feel it. That really helps me.
