Could these just have been very general hospitals, or would there be specifically leprosy? Out of all the mediaeval hospitals that were founded throughout the mediaeval period, perhaps numbering round about 14 15, hundred, a quarter were leprosy hospitals. But also, i think clearly winchester was a specialist hospital for leprosy sufferers.
