Is There a Disabilities Issue in the African Community?

In the african culture, i think there's a lot of emphasis on people being quatan uat normal. And so people do not want to associate with people who have megisabilities. In some communities, what used to happen in the past is that children born with abilities would be taken to the forest and eaten by wild animals. Even husbands would leave ther their wives because theyve beno in birth to a child born with a disability. So we're trying to teach pastors and community leaders so that they can understand that once they understand that, then it becomes a lot easier for those children even to be accepted at home.
