I think we need to recognize that e epistemic communities are not created equal at all. The people i've learnt most from in my own field are the heterodox economists, people like sarah bracking whose understanding of financial architectures is lutely brilliant. So groups absolutely make sense as a way of understanding how a particular sets of solutions an getgetand created. But we have to recognize that there'sa broader political economy of a influence these different communities can't tap into or are excluded from.
