There have been calls for calm from the international community and efforts to mediate a return to dialogue. But it seems unlikely that that will have any immediate effect because of some very incendiary comments from leaders on both sides. Aiden Lewis spoke to American tourist Lakshmi Pardharati, who is stranded in Khartoum this morning. She said: "It's pretty chaotic. Right now, power is out here"
