How Did Alison Come About?
I was thinking of certain artists who must have been in this position and suddenly something really hit home about the reality of it, which sounds maybe naive or sort of ignorant of me to say. I think when you do see like an artwork as a product right at the end, you just think that's the kind of final reach. But like, no, it's all the struggle. It's also like the daily struggles that these people have to face with. And sometimes living it is so much more important than actually the final piece.
