The Theory of Anaxagoras
Anaxagoras had a theory that everything was made up of molecules, and that things came together by condensation and a rarefaction. It wasn't exactly the same as atomic theory that the world is made up of atoms, indivisible particles which the greeks were developing at this time. The papyrus ascribes to the world a, a controlling substance: air.
