Optimal Dosing of Anti-Romatic Medications in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis
A 72-year-old female with rheumatoid arthritis is scheduled to undergo total hip arthroplasty. She currently takes etanercept weekly and hydroxychloroquine daily. The 2017 American College of Rheumatology slashed the American Association of Hip and E. Surgeons Guideline for the perioperative management of anti-romatic medication. Optimal preoperative management of these immunosuppressant medications may help mitigate some of the risks of postoperative complications in rheumatoids arthritis patients.
