We Need Diverse Leadership in Law Enforcement
Gine: We have to police ourselves and make sure that nobody is its tainting our entire profession. I feel very strongly about this because we've just had the k, even though i'm not there, but a police officer who abducted and raped and killed o a young woman. And so until that stops, until they can be protected, durrel just gave us an example of some one who wasn't an enabler who stood up. Gine: There are some amazing people out there doing a very difficult job, but they need to be elevated.
We continue our interview with Attorney Darnell Crossland who represents the families of Lauren Smith-Fields as well as Brenda Rawls. Darnell emphasizes that there does not have to be warring sides in this case — Lauren’s family vs the police vs the individual who was with Lauren when she died. He says they are all on the same side, the side of finding out the whole truth so everyone can know what really happened.
