David Harding: My view of my job as a money manager was to manage client assets. So when I talk to clients and I ask them what they like and what they don't like, it's very self-defeating from the standpoint of clients making actual returns on investments. It comes down to something I determined very early on in the process that it was my job to try to make the clients as good a client as I could so that they would allow me to be the best money manager I could be.
