Is It Necessary to Mask the Influenza?
Before COVID-19, the studies had been in community settings of people with generally sort of average susceptibility to disease. So we can call that, you know, sort of high vulnerability to disease. But typically when these idea of like, should people mask during infectious disease outbreaks, they typically excluded people with high susceptibility. And so I really appreciate you framing this in terms of how important these data are for changing your own personal understanding of what masks and also most importantly, what mandates do.
