The Dangers of Oversimplifying Delusions

For centuries, you were considered er to be possessed by the devil if you were in the throes of a delusion. Delusions really only began to be categorized with any kind of taxonomy of delusions when they sprang up in France just after the revolution. And part of what i've tried to do is go back into these well intentioned and extraordinary interviews and see what new questions we might ask from this point in history. I think that's worth thinking about. About the dangers of over simplification that thaa delusion can do. But it does show how hard most of us find it to live with ambiguity.
