McCabe's Statement on Comey's Firing
Sen. Mark Warner asked acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe if he would tell the committee about any effort to interfere with an ongoing investigation into links between Russia and the Trump campaign. "I think in light of what's happened in the last 48 hours, it's critically important that we have that assurance," Senator Warner said. He added: 'What was really shocking was that McCabe basically contradicted the entire White House story for firing Comey' The Senate panel is now holding a hearing on whether or not there will be further action by the Justice Department against President Barack Obama over his handling of the Hillary Clinton email case.
