Barry Cevallos: In order to be a superior investor, you have to think different from everybody else. He says the shift towards passive investing and indexing has become a groundswell in the last year or two. The theory was advanced 50 years ago when he started at the University of Chicago; it's nothing new but took 30-35 years for it to take hold.
