The History of Easter

The Orthodox and Protestant churches would have nothing to do with what they saw as some kind of papal plot. Pascal comes from the Hebrew Pesca that's the word for Passover. Easter egg probably comes from the practice of fasting over Lent and fast during Holy Week.
