The Puzzle of Luke's Census
The whole question of Luke's census is a great puzzle. What's the nature of the puzzle? Well, I think part of it is where Querinius fits in. And again, for the text of Luke to be correct, it doesn't even have to have lots of Roman officials wandering around. It can still be overseen by Romans, but carried out by Herod's henchmen and so on. So I just think that there are a number of things to explore here.
