The Empire Windrush arrived in Jamaica on 22 June 1948. It marked a significant moment in the UK's multicultural history. The racism and prejudice faced by the Windrush generation characterise the unfair relationship that many say still exists between the UK and its former colonies. Just over half of Jamaicans feel they no longer want to be beholden to Britain, says Stefania Gotsa.
