Operation mincemeat was a plot to fool the germans in World War II. The main character would be a dead body, who had been given a new name and personality by intelligence officers. They planted love letters in his wallet so that it looked like he was carrying real documents. But at the core of the story was a sort of romantic story about two young men falling in love.
