The Love of Self

The love of self, which really is a product of modernity. It's a cancer. Where did this come from? You know, if you read some old Puritan writings,. The Bible says that the in days people will be lovers of self. That doesn't mean that we're supposed to loathe ourselves. But when you are your own God, like you were tied to all of your own feelings and all of your Own desires, it becomes a brutal slave master.
