A lot of people will know Oppenheimer as the genius physicist. But I think something that people might not be as familiar with is the human element of his story, his character. What was he like as a man? Well, he was very complicated. He loved quantum physics, but he also loved the deserts of New Mexico. So he was a multifaceted intellectual and this was precisely part of his appeal unlike other theoretical physicists who could be quite nerdy minded.
